Woodwose (English and medieval European folklore)
The Woodwose is a wild, hairy, giant-like man of the forest, often depicted as larger than a human. In British folklore, they’re typically gentle unless provoked, living in harmony with nature and occasionally helping humans.
Their massive, hairy appearance and forest-dwelling nature resemble trolls, but they’re more likely to be peaceful or reclusive.
In some stories, Woodwose guide lost children or share knowledge of the forest with hermits.
I love nature and wandering through forests and over moors and when I do I always envision the mythical creatures, entities and peoples that might inhabit the landscape. Living on the edge of Dartmoor I am fortunate to have access to such a rich source of inspiration.

Woodwose (A peaceful Troll like creature)
The cast is made from Jesmonite which is a water based resin, it is for indoor use only and may deteriorate if put outside.
It measures 164mm from the top of the head to bottom of his beard.
It is painted in Acrylics and Verdisgris wax
